After nearly ten years of design and 36 months of construction,  the National Institute of Standards and Technology has created it's new Advanced Measurement Laboratory

For more than 100 years, NIST has developed the measurements and standards necessary for the United States to be a leader in technology.

With the creation of the $184 million Advanced Measurement Laboratory in Gaithersburg, Md., NIST is further

able to hone its ability to conduct sophisticated measurements and be more globally competitive.  Creating a facility that allows scientists to successfully work at subatomic and nano levels required progressive architectural designs, well-planned schedules and careful coordination among the various team members

GICCO's more than 75 years of steel fabrication was key to the precision required on this project.  We are proud to be a part of this history making technoligically advanced building project.
